Sharansky Warns Spread of Anti-Semitism Can Cause Real Harm

Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky spoke at today's cabinet meeting, warning that the spread of anti-Semitism can cause real harm to Israel.

"While anti-Semitism - whether in its old form or in one of its present mutations - contnues to poison minds throughout the world, it is of utmost importance that we stand with those who are in the war zone and at the fronts, the Jewish communities throughout the world," Sharansky said.

"Anti-Semitism is a threat to us all - to all Jews themselves, in the countries where they live, as well as the State of Israel.  And the Jewish Agency will continue to work together with the Israeli government, with our partner organizations around the world, and with the very communities themselves, in order to ensure that Jewish life everywhere remain secure, strong and free," he concluded.
