Netanyahu and Australian PM Affirm Friendship

Israel Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu met today (Thursday) with Australian Prime Minister Tonny Abbott at the Davos conference.

At the outset of their conversation, Prime Minister Abbott said to Netanyahu, "You had an interesting day today.  I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize the closeness and friendship between Australia and Israel, and to remind you that apart from Israel, Australia is the only country where Jews have served as Chief of the Military, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, as well as the head of state.

Netanyahu replied, "I am aware of all that we have in common, and I greatly appreciate it, along with your friendship."
