Member of Knesset Orit Struk (Jewish Home) stated on Wednesday that while she doesn't regret her comments, it would have been politically expedient to wait several days before expressing her opinion on Ariel Sharon's role in the Disengagement from Gaza. Sharon, who was buried last week, pushed forward the Disengagement Plan in 2005 forcibly removing Jewish communities from Gaza. MK Struk said Israel had not realized the significance of the Disengagement and "did not understand that the south would become terror-stricken." She added that she did not regret expressing her opinion on Sharon's actions although the timing could have been better. She added, "and if there is a Disengagement from Judea and Samaria, then missiles will land on Tel Aviv."
