Former Mossad Chief to United Hatzalah World Board

Former director Meir Dagan of the Mossad intelligence agency became a volunteer member of the international board of directors of the United Hatzalah (Ihud Hatzalah in Hebrew) emergency medical service on Sunday. After being presented to the board, Dagan a dedicated an ambucycle to United Hatzalah's fleet of more than 500, explaining, "This motorcycle includes everything that an ambulance has that is needed to save lives. There is no doubt that this vehicle significantly shortens the time to reach the ill or injured and helps save lives."

United Hatzalah President Eli Be'er said the organization was proud that Dagan joined, explaining, "It's something that gives the volunteers and the organization's management a lot of motivation when a person who has done so much for Israel is becoming part of our organization."
