A meeting between lawyers for Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, Attorney General Yehudah Weinstein and State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan was cancelled on Sunday. Rabbi Pinto is suspected of using undue influence with Commander Menashe Arbiv of the Lahav 433 national crimes and anti-corruption unit.
The meeting was supposed to deal in what the defense would receive in exchange for materials handed over to the prosecution. The Justice Ministry issued a clarification which said, "This is a complex case that justifies an in-depth and comprehensive examination of all aspects. This examination demands additional time before the conditions are ripe for such a meeting."
