Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,246.02, down .09 percent, while the TA 100 slipped .08 percent to 1,244.20, including a quarter-of-a-percent drop to 1,348.95 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,082.69, down .26 percent.
The biomed index climbed 1.09 percent to 1,168.83, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 365.09, up .93 percent. The oil and natural-gas stocks declined .36 percent to 1,295.23 and the financial institutions finished the day at 1,256.54, down .61 percent; the bank index losing .64 percent to 1,293.27 while the insurance issues stood at 1,527.76, down .89 percent. The real-estate stocks stood at 386.13, down .82 percent, and the communications index fell 2.51 percent to 732.00 as Bezeq telecommunications shares lost four percent of their value, the worst performance on the day of any of the TA 25 companies, according to the Globes business publication.
