The Samaria-Judea police are investigating an incident, Tuesday morning, in which the motorcade of Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah was pulled over by an Israel Defense Forces officer. For some reason the motorcade traveled on Highway 60 without its usual Israel Police escort. The incident was originally reported as a case of "apparent speeding".
The officer took action after watching the motorcade's safety violations, including going over a solid white line. He was forced to call police when attacked by members of the motorcade. Their attacks continued when the police arrived and they demanded an apology from the police before going on their way. On orders from the district commander, the police left without apologizing.
