Netanyahu: Sharon and I Didn't Always Agree

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Monday, that former prime minister Ariel Sharon belonged to the founding, generation of Jewish soldiers on which the independence of the modern state of Israel depended to renew its courageous heritage, a heritage that appeared to have disappeared from the world [in the wake of the Holocaust -ed.].

Citing Sharon's efforts for Israel's security as a soldier and government leader during remarks at the state memorial observance, Netanyahu said the two did not always agree but cooperated for Israel's security and economy.
