Whatech reports the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 comes with an 8.3 inch IPS-LCD screen. With a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080p) or equal to 265ppi it does not come close to the Retina display of the iPad Mini Retina however due to the IPS-LCD it has great viewing angles and colors come out vibrant.
The ThinkPad 8 is enclosed in a sleek machine cut aluminum body for that light but premium feel. Whatech notes that found on the body of the ThinkPad 8 is a micro-HDMI port so that you could connect this tablet to a monitor and turn it to a full-fledged workstation. There is also a micro-USB 3.0 port for connecting additional accessories and even monitors via optional docks.
In the camera department, the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 comes with an 8MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front camera. The rear facing camera of this tablet is equipped with flash and auto-focus. Whatech notes that on the other hand, the front camera is supported by dual digital array microphones with noise cancellation and is VoIP optimized intended for a great web video conferencing experience.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro pre-installed. For that full productivity on the go, the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and some models even come with worldwide 3G/4G connectivity. Whatech adds it will be available in 16, 32 and 128GB models.
