Ukrainian Holocaust Memorial Hit 12th Time in 2 Years

The Jewish community of the Ukrainian city of Nikolaev expressed outrage, this week, after a memorial to the victims of the Holocaust was spray-painted with anti-Jewish graffiti. Police have not succeeded in tracking down the perpetrators.

It was the 12th time the memorial was vandalized in the two years since it was erected. Community leaders issued a statement that said, "It's unthinkable that in two years the memorial has been desecrated more than 10 times and there is not a thread of evidence. The desecration of a memorial to those who died in the Holocaust is something that cannot be ignored."
