180 Kids and Staff Rescued from Jerusalem Fire

The quick response of the staff of the Shalva Center for disabled children in Jerusalem on Sunday led to the swift rescue of 180 children and personnel after an electrical fire broke out in the bomb shelter on the premises. Many of the kids were in the swimming pool, but all obeyed safety regulations and made their way out of danger. The fire did not have a chance to spread across the building, and most damage was done to the bomb shelter, which had recently been refurbished to withstand chemical warfare, and contained numerous gas mask protective kits.
