The nationalist-crime unit of the Samaria-Judea police arrested five residents of Jerusalem, Beitar Ilit, Kiryat Arba' and Samaria, Sunday evening, on suspicion of possession attack tools and conspiracy to commit a crime. Two of the detainees were 24-year-olds, one of whom was under full house arrest. The other three were aged 16, two of whom were under orders not to be in Judea or Samaria.
The vehicle in which they were riding was pulled over in the tunnel highway at the southern end of Jerusalem, where body searches produced two spray-painting cans, tear gas, gloves, knives, clubs, metal bars, an axe, a slingshot, screwdrivers, pliers and a portrait of the late Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat. The suspects face hearings for remand of their detention, Monday, in the Jerusalem Magistrates Court.
