Vote on Rule Change for Foreign Affairs, Defense C'tee

The Knesset is scheduled to vote, Monday, on an amendment to its bylaws that will allow the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee to meet without a permanent chairman. The committee has been virtually paralyzed since the return of former chairman Avigdor Liberman to the post of Foreign Minister, following his recent trial on corruption charges and the ensuing battle over who should fill the position.

The motion for the amendment will be introduced by former committee chairman Tzachi Hanegbi, who now heads the Knesset House Committee.
