Opposition Leader Yitzhak Herzog slung epithets at Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyau, Sunday evening, during the first Labor Party gathering to be held since Herzog became the chairman of the party. Herzog said, "Bibi, if you continue to be the same old Chief Executive Officer without vision, we'll replace you faster than you can imagine."
Taking aim at the fiscal policy administered by Finance Minister Ya'ir Lapid, Herzog said, "Israel deserves an economy that sees the citizen in the center of things, and principally not one that provides budgets for settlements," adding, "You'll succeed in making us miss [former treasurer] Yuval Steinitz." Regarding the negotiations with the Palestinian Authority, Herzog reminded those present that the party will support Netanyahu in any diplomatic move he leads, continuing, "Bibi isn't missing any hands in the Knesset. The question is, does he have a backbone?"
