Deputy Chief Executive Officer Menahem Cohen of the Education Ministry required surgery on his elbow, Thursday, following a Wednesday-evening rock attack on his vehicle, according to a Friday-morning report by the Yisrael Hayom daily. Cohen's car was travelling behind one carrying members of the Habima theater to Tel Aviv following a performance in Jerusalem.
The two vehicles were hit by a barrage of stones on Route 443. Cohen was taken to the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, east of Tel Aviv. His son, who was traveling with him, was not injured.
