Haim Goren, a member of the Tel Aviv City Council who is a resident of southern Tel Aviv, welcomed on Thursday a decision by Mayor Ron Huldai to charge a security fee from all citizens of Tel Aviv.
The security fee will mostly go towards the cost of securing the working class neighborhoods of southern Tel Aviv which have been inundated with illegal infiltrators from Africa.
"It's something for which we've been waiting a long time,” Goren told Arutz Sheva. “The residents of southern Tel Aviv prefer to see the police officers patrolling the streets to seeing the Sudanese walking around aimlessly in the streets. We praise the Mayor and City Council for the decision.”
