Gil'ad and Omri Sharon, the sons of former prime minister Ariel Sharon, are not leaving their father's bedside, according to a senior source at Sheba Hospital, quoted Thursday evening by Channel 2 Television. The source said, "The family has not decided to take him off [life support] devices." He added, "We do not define him medically as a vegetable. He is minimally conscious."
The source said the sons are allowing the medical staff to give their father full treatment. He said, "Whenever we need to intervene, we intervene," adding, "If his blood pressure goes down, we stabilize him."
