Retired IDF Vice Admiral Eli Marom expressed his opinion against the terrorist prisoner release that took place this week. "Releasing terrorist murderers with blood on their hands without an agreement... is in my opinion a worthless move." He referenced the prisoner exchange deal to free kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit stating that at least Israel gained something from the release. He made the comments Wednesday at a seminar of the National Security Studies Center at Haifa University.
Admiral Marom retired from the Navy in 2011. His father was a refugee from World War II who escaped to China where he met his mother, who was of part Russian Jewish and part Chinese ethnicity.
