Haifa U To Test Leftover Coffee Grounds as Fertilizer


Researchers at Haifa University are experimenting with the use of old coffee grounds as fertilizer. The project is part of ongoing experiments in the use of organic waste for ecological purposes. Prof. Leon Blaustein, Dr. Shai Levy and students will conduct tests to see if leftovers from espresso machine and other coffee substances usually thrown in the garbage improves plant growth.
