Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,209.65, down .21 percent from Wednesday's close, while the TA 100 declined .22 percent to 1,208.50, including a drop of .63 percent to 1,333.42 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,044.13, down .23 percent.
Leading the sectors was the biomed index, which rose .69 percent to 1,029.52, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 346.60, up .58 percent, and the real-estate stocks lost .34 percent to 378.82. The insurance index stood at 1,502.75, down .44 percent, as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,273.94, down .51 percent, reflecting the loss of .69 percent to 1,331.06 by the bank issues. The oil and natural-gas stocks stood at 1,231.45, down 1.34 percent, and the communications index fell 1.48 percent to 766.00.
