Weapons belonging to Jewish defenders of Gush Etzion were discovered after 66 years. Grenades were found at the Kfar Etzion Field School in the Gush Etzion region of Judea. They dated back to the Gush Etzion Convoy era, specifically an incident from December 26th, 1947 in which Jewish kibbutz farmers attempted to defend the area from Jordanian legionnaires while hiding from the British authorities. The Jordanians eventually took over the Gush Etzion area, capturing and killing any kibbutzniks who lived there. Many returned after the area was liberated in 1967 during the Six Day War.
