3 Children from Iraq to Israel for Life-Saving Surgery

Three children from the Kurdish region of Iraq have been brought to Israel for life-saving heart surgery to take place in the coming weeks at Wolfson Hospital in Holon, south of Tel Aviv. The children, ages three, four and seven, suffer from congenital heart disorders.

Interior Minister Gid'on Sa'ar gave the children special permits to enter via Jordan. They were brought by the Israel-based Save a Child's Heart project, which has brought more than 3,300 children from 48 countries for life-saving operations and other treatments.
