Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange recorded moderate gains, Sunday, to start the trading week. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,208.29, up 1.07 percent, while the TA 100 climbed 1.1 percent to 1,208.61, including a gain of 1.23 percent to 1,339.28 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,023.15, up 1.21 percent.
Most of the technology index led the gainers, jumping 2.59 percent to 342.31, while the biomed issues stood at 1,021.85, up .92 percent. The real-estate stocks rose 1.83 percent to 378.08, followed by the bank index which closed at 1,321.37, up 1.75 percent as the financial institutions advanced 1.63 percent to 1,275.92, including a rise of 1.49 percent to 1,529.01 by the insurance issues. The oil and natural-gas stocks stood at 1,247.21, up 1.05 percent, and the communications index gained seven tenths of a percent to close at 767.99.
