Gunmen Enter UN Base in South Sudan

Rebel attackers from the South Sudan's second-largest ethnic group forced their way into a United Nations peacekeeping base in South Sudan's Jonglei state, Thursday, targeting civilians of the majority ethnic community, according to the British Broadcastion Corporation. The UN said it fears casualties.

Fighting since Sunday has taken about 500 lives in the young country.
