Unearthed: 10th Century Estate with Fountain in Ramle

Daily Mail reports highway workers have discovered a 10th century Israeli estate and fountain with its plumbing still intact.

The decorative fountain was unearthed in Ramle, central Israel, and was discovered during preparations for the building of a new highway, says Daily Mail.

The water feature is thought to have decorated the garden of a wealthy Israeli family in the 10th century.

Daily Mail adds archaeologists from the Israel Antiquities Authority said it is the first time the plumbing of a decorative fountain has been found nearly intact.
