      Rabbinate Issues Sabbath Regulations for Groceries


      The Chief Rabbinate has ordered its Kashrut supervisors to make it clear to all grocery stores that the shop must close two hours before the Sabbath in order to count stock and clean the premises. The Rabbinate also reminds consumers to complete their shopping in advance in order to avoid tempting shop owners to remain open on Fridays beyond the permissible time.
