Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange started Tuesday trading with modest losses. About 90 minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,215.61, down a quarter of a percent, while the TA 100 declined .26 percent to 1,217.01, including a drop of .21 percent to 1,360.66 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,014.93, down .44 percent.
The lone bright spot was the biomed index, which rose .64 percent to 1,018.40, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 326.05, down .71 percent. The communications stocks slipped .11 percent to 771.96, while the insurance index stood at 1,491.41, down .38 percent, as the financial institutions lost .39 percent to 1,275.72, including a drop of .52 percent to 1,340.38 by the bank issues. The real-estate stocks stood at 377.26, down .54 percent, while the oil and natural-gas index fell 1.74 percent to 1,248.11.
