It will be unseasonably cold under clear to partly cloudy skies, Tuesday, with a high-wave warning at Mediterranean beaches until 10:00 a.m. Rain will start to fall in the north and Mediterranean coastal areas and winds will pick up during the evening. As the night progresses, the winds and rain will intensify, with frequent showers and isolated thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds spreading to the northern Negev through Wednesday. Snow is expected over Mount Hermon, spreading to the Golan Heights and peaks of the Galilee on Wednesday, when there will be flooding in low-lying areas and rough seas. On Thursday, the snow is expected to spread to the higher elevations in the center of the country and the Negev through Friday. Otherwise there will be occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms with a risk of flooding on Thursday with occasional showers, isolated thunderstorms and strong winds in the north and center, with a chance of local rain in the south and a chance of flooding.
