Treasurer Ya'ir Lapid said, Sunday, that he would do anything to prevent the failure of talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Speaking at the Israel Business Conference, he said, "If both the Israeli left and the Israeli right say, time after time, that 'nothing will come of it,' the prophecy may come true and the parties will leave the negotiation table with an exchange of recriminations."
Lapid continued, "This is the easiest solution and there will be quite a few people on both sides who will be happy if that happens, but I'll do anything - anything! - to prevent the failure of the negotiations. I won't let anyone dissolve the diplomatic process."
