Newly elected Jerusalem city counselor Dov Kalmanovitz said there are dozens of unreported rock attacks in Jerusalem.
He made the comments a week after a toddler was hit by a rock thrown by agitators in Jerusalem. He told Arutz Sheva news on Wednesday that he considers hurling rocks at civilians to be attempted murder. He lamented that police have stated because many of those sent to throw the rocks are underage, they cannot be prosecuted.
Kalmanovitz was personally injured when a minor was sent to throw firebombs at passing vehicles. He suffered 3rd degree burns on 75% of his body as a result. He later became the head of a terrorist survivors organization and in October was elected to Jerusalem city council.
