MK Claims Hidden Information on Bedouin Resettlement

Members of Knesset Zvulun Kalfa filed a petition on Wednesday requesting to freeze discussions regarding the Prawer-Begin Plan for resettlement of illegal Bedouin squatters in the Negev. MK Kalfa claimed that relevant information was hidden from the discussion and past discussions lacked transparency. "There are all kinds of understandings and agreements... not exposed and possibly compartmentalized on purpose," he stated.

Major protests against the resettlement of the Bedouin squatters took place over the weekend.

MK Kalfa is a native of the Negev region and lost his home in the Sinai peninsula following the Camp David Accords and again lost a home in Gush Katif following the 2005 Disengagement from Gaza.
