Temple Mount Activist to be Compensated by Police

The Jerusalem Magistrates Court ordered the police, Tuesday, to pay Yehuda Glick, manager of the Initiative for Jewish Freedom on the Temple Mount) 30,000 shekels in damages for two incidents of false arrest. The incidents involved his photographing a police position at the entrance to the holy site to document discrimination against religious Jews who wanted to enter, in accordance with a Supreme Court decision against his claim of discrimination by police. The court rejected a claim in connection with a third incident.

Glick called on everyone who may have been harmed by police or any other body on the Temple Mount to take similar legal action and offered the initiative's assistance.
