During this past weekend the Northern District Police conducted a special ops targeting the dangerous substance nicknamed, "Pitzutziyot". The operation targeted business owners selling the substance, which endangers the health and safety of youth and the general public, for selling alcohol to minors, and even for illegal weapons possession. The operation was led by District Youth Officer Superintendent Aidoa Klein together with the combined forces of police departments throughout the Central Unit of the Northern District.
The operation covered 111 businesses and distribution centers, where they seized 168 bags of the hazardous substance, weighing in at approximately four kilograms.
The drug, whose name is a derivation of a Hebrew word for "little explosions", is a psychotropic substance which causes the user a feeling of euphoria.
