Metro Train Derails in Bronx, New York

A Metro-North passenger train derailed this morning (Sunday) in the Bronx, along the Hudson River, overturning five of seven cars into the canal.  According to a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the train, which had started out from Poukeepsie, NY, left the tracks near the Spuyten Duyvil station under the Henry Hudson Bridge on the Metro-North Hudson Line.

No casualties have been so far reported. Circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been clarified.
