Be'er Sheva Court Employees Out on Strike

Work at both the Magistrate's and District Courts in Be'er Sheva has been indefinitely suspended due to a workers' strike.

During the course of the strike, the respective courts will not be holding trials, receiving the public, or be accepting petitions or appeals - in both civil and criminal matters. The strike is a result of an ongoing labor dispute between courhouse management and employees.

"I told the workers, if you are being mistreated, walk out of the courtrooms and the offices," said Histadrut (National Labor Federation) Chairman for the Negev, Meir Babiof.
