Girls Refuse to Cooperate as Singer's Dad Released

Two teenage girls reportedly refused to corporate with a police investigation on alleged statutory rape. The father of top-selling singer and TV host Eyal Golan is accused of illicit acts with the girls. He is alleged to have used his son's fame as a lure. The suspect was released to house arrest on Wednesday after police detained him for questioning for several days.

According to a Haaretz News report on Monday, one of the minors claimed that she had lied about her past statements and then abruptly left the police investigation session. On Friday Haaretz reported that the girls refused to testify against their pop star hero. Another manager of the singer is also suspected of wrongdoing.
