Azerbaijani security forces have arrested an Iranian citizen who is alleged to have been planning attacks on the Israeli Embassy in the capital city of Baku.
The local media have reported that man being held, Hassan Faraji, had gone to scope out the Israeli Embassy last October, arouseing the suspicions of on-site security personnel. When local officers attempted to arrest him, he openly resisted. Shortly following his arrest, he was brought before a judge who sentenced him to 30 days.
When security forces searched Farangi's apartment they found plans and photographs which indicated his intentions to carry out a series of attacks on Israeli targets.
