      Regulated Egg Prices Drop 3.3%

Minister of Finance Yair Lapid and Minister of Agriculture and Development Yair Shamir approved the proposal made to the Price Regulation Committee, resulting in an average reduction of 3.3% for eggs.  This translates into approximately 3.6 agurot (agura:shekel equals cent:dollar) per egg. The reduction is due to go into effect tomorrow (Thursday), November 21st.

This means that a packaged dozen of large eggs you purchase at your market, which constitutes about half the eggs, will drop approximately by 40 agurot, and so the dozen eggs you pay NIS12.90 for today should only cost you NIS 12.50 on the morrow.
