US Senate Shifts on Iran Sanctions

The Huntington Post has reported that the Senate's opposition to Obama's request to not seek further sanctions against Iran is waning.

In an interview over the weekend with the BBC, Senator John McCain (R) said he would not be supporting further sanctions against Iran for the time being, though he remained skeptical over the outcome of the present negotiations with Teheran.

The report further said that Senator Carl Levin (D) said that we should continue to pursue resolution to the situation via diplomacy, even if the chances for success are not very high. Senator Diane Feinstein (D) said she would continue to support negotiations for as long as they (the talks) lasted.
