IDF Proffers Money and Manpower to Aid Typhoon Victims

A delegation of the IDF took off this morning (Wednesday) from Ben Gurion Airport to the Philippines in order to proffer aid and expertise to the survivors and victims caught in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan.

The 147-member delegation included officers and enlisted men, both in active service and reservists, as well as manpower from the IDF Home Front Command and the Medical Corp. They will be based out of mobile military medical facility, that will include specialized medical departments such as a Pediatrics Unit, an Obstetrics Unit, and an Ambulatory Unit. 

The facility will be operated by medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, EMT's, paramedics, pharmacists and mental health professionals, as well as radiology and lab technicians, respectively,
