Israel Capitulates to EU BDS Demands

Israel has entered into an agreement with the European Union that funds received will not be transferred either to academic institutions in Judea and Samaria, or to researchers affiliated with these institutions, e.g., Ariel University.

In an interview with Galei Tzahal (Army Radio), Minister of Science Yaakov Perry said that he sees the agreement  as a compromise giving the European Union the ability to draw its lines along the Green Line in order to restrict the transfer of funds to an area that could ostensibly not be part of Israel in the future..

According to a report in Haaretz, the new rules also state that any agreement between Israel and the EU must include a section stating that the settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Golan Heights are not part of the State of Israel.
