Afula: Terror Stabbing to Avenge Imprisoned Uncles

Northern District Police Commander Major-General Roni Atia told reporters at a briefing following today's (Wednesday) stabbing attack in Afula that "The terrorist admitted that he had come in order to stab Israeli civilians."

"While traveling on a bus, the knife-wielding terrorist attacked a soldier, stabbing him multiple times throughout his body.  A member of the IDF's Border Police was able to overcome the terrorist, wrest the weapon from him, and eventually hand him over to police," Atia explained.

"During questioning, the terrorist said he had come to avenge his uncles, who are serving time in Israeli  prisons," he added.
