The United States is not expected to sign an agreement with Germany preventing it from continuing its spying and surveilling activities of its ally, according the German periodical Der Spiegel.
According to the report, talks between representatives of German intelligence agencies and their US. counterparts were not able to arrive at a mutual understanding on the matter.
Representatives of the primary German intelligence organizations arrived in the US. last week for discussions in the wake of the recent discovery of the NSA's monitoring of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's cell phone.
