      17% Wage Gap between Genders

A new study by the Research and Planning Administration of the National Insurance Institute looking at the socio-economic status of Israeli women found that they earned, per hour, approximately 17% less than their male counterparts.,

The study examines the socio-economic situation of women to men in terms of their poverty levels and their potential in the labor market.   The results indicated the definite existence of social equality between the genders throughout the period of time over which the study was conducted.
