Hotovely: Rawabi Is Cheap Because the Land Is Free

In response to the Prime Minister at today's faction meeting where construction in the Negev was being discussed, Deputy Minister or Transportation Tzipi Hotovely noted, "In Rawabi, one can buy a 5-room apartment for $140,000, but that is because the land doesn't cost anything."

"The message here," she continued, "is that land should be allotted for free to those finishing the army in the Negev and the Galilee in order to significantly reduce housing costs."
