A joint delegation from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health and the Bank of Israel, headed by Finance Ministry director Yael Andorn participated traveled to Paris, France for a conference with the OECD - the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. The delegates discussed a bi-annual draft report on the Israeli economy. The conference examined the economies of the 34 member countries of the OECD. The stated goal of the OECD is "to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world." Andorn stated, "Israel's economy is reaping praise. I have no doubt that in-depth discussions will contribute to understanding the challenges facing Israel."
