The Palestinian Authority today (Tuesday) approved a measure to guarantee employment to the “released prisoners” as being one of the financial entitlements offered to the released terrorists.
“Palestinian prisoners”, meaning the recently-released Israeli security prisoners who were serving time for murder and terrorism, are entitled to receive many financial benefits for being, as the PA terms it, “anyone who sits in the cells of the occupation due to his participation in the struggle”.
These terrorists are provided with a monthly base salary of NIS 1,400 which goes up accordingly, depending upon the amount of years served. A prisoner who has been imprisoned 30 years or more would receive NIS 12,000 per month. In addition, each prisoner receives funds and full benefits for his wives and children, according to their number. A prisoner who has been in for five years is entitled to a job in the public sector if he has no other source of employment or income, such as investments, real estate, and the like.
