Tunisia Talks Suspended Indefinitely

Tunisia's ruling Islamists and the opposition failed on Monday to agree on a new prime minister to steer the country out of a political crisis. Talks have now been suspended indefinitely, the mediator said, according to the AFP news agency.

"We have decided to suspend the national dialogue until there are favorable grounds for talks to succeed," said Houcine Abassi, head of the UGTT union federation which is mediating the crisis.
