Shas MK Ariel Atias, outraged by the government's latest terrorist-for-homes action, called for a no confidence vote today (Monday) in front of the full Knesset plenum.
According to Atias, the deal for a few hundred housing units was paid for in Jewish blood. “Murderers in exchange for houses? How could such a thing happen? And that the Prime Minister should give it helping hand…” he stated.
Atias added that Jewish Home could have objected to this course of action, but chose housing instead. “Israel exchanges prisoners for our soldiers – not for apartments”, he exclaimed.
The no confidence vote was rejected with 54 votes against; 29 in favor.
