Shekel, US Dollar, Yen, Pound Up; Euro Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .253 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.527, up .227 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro fell .758 percent to 4.7666 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.6411 shekels, down .106 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .173 percent to NIS 3.5876. The Canadian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.3845, up .445 percent, while its Australian counterpart declined .287 percent to 3.3374 shekels, and the South African rand was fixed at .3502 shekels, down .821 percent.
